From the Editor
Glancing at this issue of MSI ANZ Quarterly, you may have noticed a difference to previous issues – in particular you may have noticed that our group logo has changed! As of 1st January 2008 MSI Legal & Accounting Network Worldwide formally changed its name to become ‘MSI Global Alliance’ and with the name change comes a new global website address at www.msiglobal.org and a new logo. Each MSI member in Australia and New Zealand who uses the MSI logo on their own livery will move into line with the new identity over the coming months.
A change such as this brings with it an opportunity for all MSI member firms to re-examine their membership in one of the world’s premier professional associations – and to reiterate why we see the group as an increasingly important element in the greater service offering we provide to all our clients. It may be a cliché but the world is becoming a smaller place. While 25 years ago clients operating in more than one country was something of a rarity, now it is commonplace, even among the SME market place. Membership of MSI allows each firm involved to provide all the support that a growing number of client businesses need to match this new reality.
With 30 new member firms joining MSI Global Alliance in 2007, our association continues to grow with over 250 members in 100 countries servicing the needs of firms and businesses of all sizes.

Many employees are feeling the pressure to put in the long hours at work while also feeling the pressure to be at home more with the family.
