Recently, the MSI Australia and New Zealand Group have been successful in capturing the attention of both the Australian and New Zealand media. We have supplied a number of articles to publications in Australia and New Zealand on professional topics and, with the help of many MSI firm clients, who complete the quarterly surveys, we have been successful in gaining a range of media coverage generated from the topical survey results.

Subsequently our media spokesperson, Charles Hornor has conducted several radio interviews and numerous articles have been published across the accounting and legal journals and also business media.

Some of the Australian industry journals include; BRW, National Institute of Accountants, Law Management Journal, Charter magazine and Australasian Legal Business and in New Zealand Law Talk, while coverage on radio includes; ABC Radio, Triple M, 94.7FM Geelong and Radio New Zealand.

The most recent MSI Australia & New Zealand business survey on Trust provided some very interesting results compared to the same survey conducted in 2007. Respondents were asked to apply the MSI ‘Trustometer’ for the second year in a row to a range of 42 different people and organisations.

The most notable difference was that Kiwi’s rated lawyers at the top of their list, while lawyers in Australia came in at 20. Interestingly priests seem to have renewed our trust in both countries!

From an Australian perspective, it would appear that Aussie’s trust Malcolm Turnbull, opposition Treasurer over Wayne Swan, Federal Treasurer to manage their household budget or business finances. With the upcoming election in New Zealand the jury is still out with the polls still showing a very close result.
